About Camp Landon

We are still in the Planning Phase to resurrect the camp after a one year hiatus.
We are looking to provide the coming camp with all the same activities as before.

Description of prior camps.

This is the old schedule. It will be updated once we get established and the date for the camp. 

 The Camp will be hosted inside the Iowa Western practice facility- Circle Dr, Council Bluffs, Iowa 51503.

Camp Check-In: 10:00 A.M.- 10:30 P.M.
Football Camp: 10:30 P.M.- 11:45 P.M.

All attendees will receive a camp t-shirt.

Athletes will begin by being introduced individually passing through a tunnel of cheerleader/dance team members

Athletes will then be participating in football skills & drills instructed by Council Bluffs area high school football teams.

Drills:
Throw football into net
Kicked field goals
Blocking
Agility

Those there to participate as cheerleaders/dance teams will be shown drills by the IWCC Cheerleaders as well as local high school cheerleaders.

 A Short scrimmage between Participants and the area Football players will end the camp, with the Cheerleaders/Dance teams cheering.

Following the Camp

All campers will be invited to enjoy an Iowa Western Down Syndrome Awareness football game, held at Lewis Central High School.

All campers & families are welcome to a tailgate  for food & drinks in the parking lot
southwest of Lewis Central HS Stadium- 12:00 P.M.

All Camp Attendees  will meet at the gate- southeast corner of the football field at 12:40 P.M.
to welcome the Iowa Western Reiver Football team as they take the field!
